Join Chris Stewart and Kate Ravilious as they host workshop to develop participants’ confidence and skills in communicating about their work as professional scientists — with a particular focus on the professional use of social media for networking and public engagement.

The two half-day workshops proposed here allow participants to expand their sci-com toolbox, starting with defining their communication goals and target audiences, and finding ways to tailor their message to specific audiences. They then explore the wide landscape of communication channels, from major social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, to YouTube and podcasts, to mainstream print, radio and TV.
